Lemon of Pink is the name of a song and album by The Books. For me also a collection of odd memories. The words to the song are an abstract painting in themselves. “The levels of birth and death/ subtle details have to be eschewed. Ishiyaki Allahu akbar... Ishiyaki-imo…” I had no idea there was a veneration perhaps in the midst of eating this Japanese roasted sweet potato in the song. That is relatable. When life gives you lemons, maybe try eating one.
