Artist, Mystic, Doula

Rachel has worked as a birth doula in Chicago and the outlying suburbs for 16 years and believes everybody deserves kind, focused care. Early on—while studying to become a homebirth midwife— she skeptically began studying astrology as well and has continued with this even after moving away from her baby-catching career goals. With previous kitchen experience, and through years helping new families find their footing, Rachel has enjoyed practical postpartum support through cooking, meal preparation and has recently curated seasonal menus to cook for clients in their homes.

For me life is about holding space for others, tending to my own self-care and doing intuitive, creative work…

“Why not be a little of everything? If you’ve been given this gift of life, you can choose a simple path or follow every joy that you find. For me, life is about holding space for others, tending to my own self-care and doing intuitive creative work, it sort of spills out of me.” When not in front of an easel, at someone’s bedside or studying, Rachel is likely enjoying nature with her three kids and loving her life spent in intentional community with her friends and her dog.
